Hunter HydroTech Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 6, 2026
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Hunter HydroTech LLC ("Hunter HydroTech," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, retain, and disclose information when you use our website, field-service application, customer portal, booking forms, estimates, invoices, service agreements, email communications, and text-messaging programs.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information, including your name, email address, telephone number, service address, billing address, and property contact information.
- Service information, including appointment requests, irrigation-system details, property notes, zone inspections, equipment information, photographs, technician notes, estimates, invoices, memberships, service history, and customer-support communications.
- Communication preferences and consent records, including whether you requested service emails, service text messages, seasonal marketing emails, or seasonal marketing text messages; the date, time, source, and version of the consent language; and opt-out records.
- Transaction information, including invoice and payment status. Payment-card and bank information may be processed by a payment provider and is not intended to be stored directly by Hunter HydroTech unless specifically stated at the time of collection.
- Technical information, including browser type, device information, referring pages, pages visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, security logs, and a hashed version of an IP address when a communications-consent form is submitted.
How we use information
We may use information to:
- Schedule, dispatch, perform, document, and follow up on irrigation services.
- Provide appointment confirmations, reminders, on-the-way notifications, job updates, service reports, estimates, invoices, payment information, and customer support.
- Maintain property, equipment, valve, pump, backflow, controller, and irrigation-zone records.
- Send seasonal service announcements or promotional offers when the recipient has separately opted in to marketing communications.
- Process and document communication preferences, consent, HELP requests, and opt-out requests.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve our websites and field-service platform.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or other harmful activity.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, insurance, and regulatory obligations.
Text messaging and mobile information
If you opt in to service text messages, Hunter HydroTech may send appointment confirmations, reminders, technician dispatch and on-the-way notifications, service updates, completion notices, estimate or invoice updates, and review requests. Message frequency varies, typically 1–5 messages per service appointment.
If you separately opt in to promotional text messages, Hunter HydroTech may send up to 5 seasonal promotional messages per year about relevant services, memberships, offers, spring start-ups, repairs, and winterizations. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text-message consent records will not be sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This information may be provided only to vendors that perform communications or support services on our behalf, such as our SMS carrier, website host, or application provider, and only as necessary to provide those services. Those vendors are not permitted to use the information for their own marketing. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any other third parties except when required by law, necessary to prevent fraud or abuse, or necessary to protect legal rights and safety.
When we disclose other information
We may disclose other information in the following limited circumstances:
- To service providers that host our systems, deliver communications, process payments, provide analytics, maintain software, or otherwise support our operations under appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions.
- To technicians, employees, contractors, professional advisers, insurers, accountants, or legal advisers when reasonably necessary to provide service or operate the business.
- To comply with a subpoena, court order, law, regulation, or valid governmental request.
- To investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, abuse, threats, or violations of our agreements.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, sale, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate privacy protections.
We do not sell personal information for money.
Cookies and analytics
Our websites and application may use cookies, session storage, log files, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, protect forms, measure performance, and understand how the service is used. Browser controls may allow you to restrict cookies, although doing so may prevent parts of the customer portal from working correctly.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain customer and property history, document consent and opt-out requests, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy tax, accounting, insurance, warranty, and legal obligations. Consent and suppression records may be retained after an opt-out so that we can continue honoring the request.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No website, mobile network, database, or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may:
- Reply STOP to a Hunter HydroTech text message to stop further automated text messages from that program.
- Reply HELP or contact us for assistance.
- Change available communication preferences through the customer portal.
- Use an unsubscribe link in a marketing email.
- Contact us to request access to or correction of your contact information, subject to applicable legal and record-retention requirements.
An opt-out applies to the applicable communication channel and does not prevent Hunter HydroTech from contacting you when necessary to respond to a request you initiate, provide legally required notices, or communicate manually about active service when permitted by law.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for property owners, tenants, property managers, and other adults seeking irrigation services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
External links
Our services may link to third-party websites, payment pages, maps, review sites, or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes to text-message practices will not be used to expand marketing consent beyond what a recipient authorized.
